Check in/out: photos that sort, match, and upload themselves

Every host knows the ritual: stand next to the car, snap a dozen photos of every angle, the odometer, the fuel gauge — then do it again a few hours later for the next trip, and later try to remember which photos belong to which car. TuroVA’s new Check in/out tool replaces all of that with one button.

Hit Start, walk around the car

Instead of tapping the shutter over and over, Check in/out fires the camera automatically on a timer — every 1 second by default, or anywhere from half a second to 5 seconds, whatever pace matches how you walk the car. Hit Start, do your usual walk-around, hit Stop. No more standing there tapping the screen 100 times to make sure you didn’t miss an angle.

Sorted into its own folder, automatically

TuroVA is the only app that puts each trip’s photos into their own separate folder on your phone the moment they’re captured — not dumped into one long camera roll you have to scroll through later. When a rental is over and you no longer need those photos, you know exactly which folder to delete. No hunting through dozens of nearly-identical shots trying to figure out which car they belong to.

Matched to the right trip by license plate

You don’t tell TuroVA which car or which trip you’re photographing — it figures that out itself. TuroVA reads the license plate straight off your photos and matches it to the car and the trip starting or ending in the next 24 hours. If a plate can’t be read or matched, TuroVA shows you a quick searchable list of trips to pick from instead, so you’re never stuck.

Uploaded to Turo automatically — no other system does this

Once the trip is matched, TuroVA doesn’t stop at organizing your photos. It reads the odometer and fuel gauge straight off the photos and submits them to Turo, and uploads the photos themselves directly onto that trip’s Turo record — all without you touching the Turo app. TuroVA is the only system that uploads check-in/check-out photos straight to Turo on its own; everywhere else, that upload is still a manual step you do yourself.

Point, walk, hit Stop — the photos are already sorted, matched, and sitting on the trip in Turo before you’ve even gotten back in your own car.

Works even on a bad connection

Photos upload one at a time in the background as you capture them, and if you lose signal in the middle of a lot, TuroVA just keeps them queued and picks up the moment you’re back online — nothing gets lost waiting on a weak signal.
